Reading Through the Nyte

If it has pages, I will try to read it. Admittedly, I will not always succeed, as some books honestly do not deserve to be printed, not to mention finished. After reading them, I like telling people about books-- whether to avoid them or seek them out... and so it goes...

Candyfreak: A Journey through the Chocolate Underbelly of America (Harvest Book) - Steve Almond This is a rather amusing book about the authors’ obsession with candy, along with a pilgrimage to four small candy makers that he made in a long weekend. It was a good read, but the author had too many sidelines and is under the impression that if you fail to agree with his tastes, you kind of suck. The information about the four smaller companies was fascinating, and I’d loved it to have gone on longer, just without the sometimes snipe and snarky commentary made by the author when he felt he knew more than, or was superior to the people he was dealing with at that point in time.
